This is a surprise – the Dixie Chicks are back! Well, not really as a trio –
lead singer Natalie Maines has a new rock-oriented disc out called “Mother” -
and sisters Natalie and Emily will release their second effort as Courtyard
Hounds July 16th…this is the lead song off of that new project – “Sunshine”…

New John Fogerty – Mystic Highway

This was NOT intentional – but considering the guy has a pretty good
claim to have helped invent Americana, why not two in a row….

The new Fogerty disc, “Wrote A Song For Everyone”, includes collaborations
with Keith Urban, My Morning Jacket, Kid Rock, Bob Seger, Miranda Lambert,
Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson. Foo Fighters and many more – songs from the Creedence
songbook, including “Lodi:, “Born on the Bayou” and “Someday Never Comes” -
plus two new tracks….and the disc includes a booklet with stories from the
reclusive Fogerty himself.

“Mystic Highway” is the best song John Fogerty has written in at least 20
years – and the video is a historic document of his long career…enjoy!

Former Creedence Clearwater Revival leader John Fogerty turned 68 last
week – but he’s no old foger-ty – watch him put these kids in their place
- this song closed the recent Tim McGraw tv special…and Tim was quoted
as saying, “He’s in his 60′s – and he can really sing!” Well, yeah…

One guy I talked to said he was going to the Kenny Chesney show near him just
to see Kacey….this is the life of an opening act – no spectacle, lousy
sound, maybe 30 minutes to play a few songs…this audience-shot video is
worth seeing, if only to notice how the crowd reacts to the racy lyrics of
the best song on her first disc “Same Trailer, Different Park”…
